Recycle bin in your taskbar?

I've always wanted my Recycle bin to be in the taskbar even before i saw how Linux did that. Then when i saw Linux did it i was like "what the hell?" I tried for a long time to look for a program or some way to do it but i never could find an easy way. But i finally did and it's actually pretty simply. Just follow the steps below.

  1. Right click on your recycle bin and choose "create shortcut."
  2. Now you need to make a folder somewhere ( i named mine "2nd Quick Launch" and put it where the first quick launch is. If you don't know where that is just right click the quick launch bar and choose "open folder")
  3. now put the recycle bin shortcut into the folder you just made
  4. Right click on the taskbar and go to toolbar <>
  5. Then navigate to the folder you just made and choose that folder.
  6. Right click on the taskbar and choose "lock the taskbar" so it doesn't have a check next to it.
  7. Now right click precisely where it says the name of your new folder and uncheck "show text" and " show title"
Now not only do you have a recycle bin in the taskbar but now you have a 2nd quick launch toolbar. You can add anything to it by simple dragging it to the

Great tip! Exactly what I was looking for! As a follow-up - an easy way to remove the Recycle Bin icon from the desktop is with TweakUI (http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/tweakui)...or just tweak the registry yourself (http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article05-013).

It works in Windows 7 too!!!!

Removing the recycle bin from the desktop in Windows 7 is very easy, it is as easy as changing this registry value:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\NonEnum]
“{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}” = 1

REGARDS!!!!

This helped me, thanks, I was looking for something like this. But you don't need to make a new shortcut. You can drag the recycle bin icon directly to the new toolbar.
